CBSE Champ ("the app", "we", "us") is a gamified study tracker for the
CBSE Class 10 syllabus. This policy explains what information we
collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights
you have. By using the app you agree to this policy.
At a glance: We collect only what's needed to save your
study progress and let you sign in. You can use the app as a guest, export
nothing, and delete your account and all associated data from inside the
app at any time.
1. Who we are
The app is operated by the CBSE Champ developer. For any privacy question
or request, contact us at
bssarankumar@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
Account information. If you sign in with Google, we
receive your name, email address, profile photo, and a Google account
identifier. If you continue as a guest, we create an
anonymous identifier only — no name or email.
Study progress. The proficiency level you set for each
topic (Learning / Practiced / Mastered), and values derived from it such
as XP, rank, badges earned, daily study streak, and focus chapters.
Activity data. A per-day record of XP earned and topics
touched, used to power streaks and insights.
Diagnostics. Crash reports and basic device/diagnostic
information collected by Firebase Crashlytics to help us fix bugs.
Advertising identifiers. Our ads provider (Google
AdMob) may access a device advertising identifier to serve and measure
ads. See section 5.
We do not collect your contacts, photos, location, or
messages. We do not sell your personal data.
3. How we use your information
To save your study progress and sync it across your devices.
To power gamification — XP, ranks, badges, and streaks.
To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
To diagnose crashes and improve the app.
To show ads that keep the app free (see section 5).
4. Where your data is stored
Your account and progress are stored using Google Firebase
(Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore). Data is processed on Google's
cloud infrastructure. Firebase's handling of data is governed by
Google's Privacy & Security policies.
5. Advertising
The app shows ads via Google AdMob. AdMob may use device
identifiers to serve and measure ads. Because our audience includes
teenagers, we direct ad requests to be treated for a child/teen audience
and serve non-personalized ads where required by law and
Google policy. Learn more in
Google's advertising policy.
6. Third-party services
Google Sign-In — authentication.
Firebase Authentication & Cloud Firestore — accounts and storage.
CBSE Champ is intended for Class 10 students and a general audience.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in a manner
that violates applicable law. Where our audience includes minors, we limit
data collection and serve non-personalized ads as described above. If you
believe a child has provided us personal information without appropriate
consent, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Your choices and rights
Use without an account. Continue as a guest to use the
app without providing a name or email.
Delete your data. Open Account → Delete account
in the app. This permanently removes your profile, topic progress, and
activity records, then deletes your account. This cannot be undone.
Sign out. Open Account → Sign out at any time.
Access or correction. Email us to request a copy of, or
correction to, your data.
9. Data retention
We keep your account and progress for as long as your account exists. When
you delete your account, the associated data is removed from our active
databases. Backups and provider logs may persist for a limited period
consistent with the provider's standard retention.
10. Security
We rely on Google Firebase's security infrastructure, access rules, and
encryption in transit to protect your data. No method of transmission or
storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to safeguard your
information.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be
reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate,
by an in-app notice.
